Creating a Climb Stairs Activity

You can create a climb stairs activity with a manikin.


Before you begin:
  • The maximum allowed step height for climbing a stair with multiple steps is 300 mm.
  • Before launching ensure that:
    • Create New Task or edit an existing task.
    • Position the Manikin in such a way that it is not too close or too far away from the stairs.
    • Orientate the Manikin toward the stairs.
  1. Click Create Climb Stairs .


    The Stair Climbing Options dialog is displayed.
  2. Select the front edge of the step that the manikin encounters first.
  3. Select the front edge of the step that the manikin encounters second.
    The selected edges highlight. Change the first stepping leg if required, right leg is the default option.
  4. Modify the number of steps to climb if required, default is 5, if requiring an arm swing.
  5. Click Generate Posture.
    A progress bar displays and the climb postures generate and manikin places on the top of the specified number of steps.

    Double-clicking Climb Stair activity from the sequence editor, modify the parameters and click Generate Posture.
