Importing V5 Human Task Catalogs

You can create a workflow to import V5 human task catalogs into 3DExperience human task. This imported task can save in 3DExperience human task libraries.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Have a V5 Catalog available. The V5 Human Task catalog can import into 3DExperience using both Interactive and Batch mode.

Importing V5 Human Task Catalog Interactively

You can import a V5 Human catalog interactively.

  1. Click Import, CATIA File.

  2. Click Add File in Select the files to the Import panel and select Catalog file from the directory.

All the files linked to the Task Catalog, which is imported are displayed in the File to Process panel.

  3. Click Import to import all the core content of the V5 task catalog,
  4. start a query with the given identification string and open one of the PPR contents.
  5. Enter the Ergonomics at Work app. Imported Task can be seen under Behavior Tab.
Example V5 Human Task (Crawling Back) from the task Catalog is migrated to 3DExperience Task.

Import Human Task Catalog in Batch Mode

You can import a human task catalog using batch mode.

  1. Start 3DExperience and click Tools->Utility.
This starts the Batch Monitor dialog.

  2. Double-click the FBDI entry to start the FBDI window.
  3. Click the folder, 3DVIA - Live File Connector Object Search.
  4. In the dialog, click Member and specify the V5 human task catalog file and click Open (provide an Identification string in the editor), then OK.
  5. Click Run in the FBDI window (the Process tab in the Batch Monitor window can be activated to view the progress).

After completion, click Cancel in the FBDI window and close the Batch Monitor window.

Start a query with the given identification string and open one of the PPR contexts (repeat steps for each PPR context data).

  6. Enter the Ergonomics at Work app. Imported Task can be seen under Behavior Tab.

Save the Imported V5 Task to a Library

You can save an imported V5 task to a library.

From the context menu on the human task thumbnail, select Save to Library.
This saves in the 3DExperience Human Task Library and you can reuse it with using Insert from the Library.

Importing Operate Walking Activity

You can import the V5 human task containing operate walk activity into 3DExperience.

From the context menu on the human task thumbnail, select Insert from library.

The import in 3DExperience Operate Walking activity where:

  • Activity is pointing to Device Task or Robot Task.
  • Activity is pointing to Track Trajectory.

Mapping between V5 and 3DExperience Operate Walk.

  • Mapping for Bounding MoveToPosture
    • V5 Operate Walk consisted of 2 bounding MoveToPosture.
    • After migrating such data, the first bounding MoveToPosture converts into Reach Activity and the second bounding MoveToPostureconverts as return to posture (Body Motion).
  • Mapping for Operate Part / Operate Device
    • In case V5 Operate Walk consisted of Operate Part pointing to Track Trajectory, after migration it is converted into Move Trajectory.
    • In case V5 Operate Walk consisted of Operate Device pointing to Robot Task or Device Task, after migration it is converted into Move Device.
  • Visualization Attributes
    • V5 operates walk Visualization attributes as color, type and thickness does not migrate.

Multiple Move Trajectory or Move Device creation during import.

There are different walk types that we can use to create operate walking conditions in 3DExperience. We can then make multiples using Move Trajectory or Move Device could create for each representing a specific walk type (forward walk/ backward walk/ side step walk).

For example, for this scenario 2 Move Trajectories create representing different walk types.

Reuse Imported v5 Catalog Inside Insert from Library

You can reuse an imported V5 catalog that is inside Insert from the Library.

  1. From the context menu on the human task thumbnail, select Insert from library.
  2. Search for imported V5 Catalog file. On selection of the catalog file, all pointed tasks populate in the Human Task Templates panel.

In addition to the Human Attribute Library, you can select the Catalog file.

Human Task Template populates with all the pointed tasks from the catalog.
