Simulating Multiple Manikins in Parallel

You can create parallel branches in the sequence to execute different tasks concurrently.

Click Play to watch the video:

  1. In the dashboard, click ASO .
  2. Click UP arrow .
    This selects the main Manufacturing Cell that includes all the resources.
  3. Click Sequencing.
    Displays the Manufacturing tree.
  4. Right-click Manufacturing_Cell_01 and select Create Task.
    The Task dialog box appears.
  5. Select Type Nominal.
  6. Click OK.
    A task creates under the manufacturing cell tree.

  7. Double-click the Task.
    A task window appears and the Sequential toolbox.

  8. To add a parallel branch to a sequence, do one of the following:
    • Select Add Parallel in the toolbox and then click the blank page.
    • Drag Add Parallel to the Task (Nominal)\Manufacturing Cell One window and release.


    • Two parallel branches add to the blank page.
    • The Parallelism dialog box appears.
  9. Click OK in the Parallelism dialog box.
    Creates a parallel inside the task dialog box.
  10. Expand, select, and drag the activities from Usable in: Task(Nominal) to the branches vertical bar.


  11. Click OK in the Service Call dialog box.
  12. Close the Task (Nominal)\Manufacturing Cell One dialog box.
  13. Click Play in the center of the Compass.
    The manikins simulate in parallel.
  14. Click Exit from the Play in the action bar.
