Configuring Filters on Multiple Roots

You can define configuration filters for multiple roots when doing an Explore with Manufacturing Context Builder on a PPR object root node (product, item, process, and resource) or a PPR context.

Note: The Configuration-Evolution dialog box opens:
  • If the explored object has a model and evolution criteria defined
  • If the explored PPR context has at least one root with a model and evolution criteria defined

  1. From the 3DSearch, right-click a PPR or any configured object and select Explore With > Explore with Manufacturing Context Builder.

    The Configuration-Evolution dialog box opens.

  2. From the list, select a model.
The list of the Applicable Roots is displayed at the bottom of the dialog box according to the model you have selected. The Model Version, Manufacturing Plan, and Unit lists are populated with the specific information of the selected model.
  3. Define the required information:

    • Model Version: Specifies one or several model versions.
Note: You can select model versions and manufacturing plans but you cannot combine them with units in addition.
    • Manufacturing Plan: Specifies one or several manufacturing plans.
Note: You can select manufacturing plans and model versions but you cannot combine them with units in addition.
    • Unit: When selecting a unit first, the manufacturing plan and model version are identified internally according to the selected unit and automatically selected.
Note: You can select units but you cannot combine them with model versions and manufacturing plans in addition.
    • Date: Specifies a date on the configuration filter.
    • Official View/Projected View: Specifies the view of effectivity on which the query will be applied.
Note: By default, the Official View option is selected.

    Notes:
    • To multiselect model versions, manufacturing plans, or units, press Ctrl + select the configuration filters.
    • To select a range of model versions, manufacturing plans, or units, press Shift + select the first and last value of the entire range you want to select.

  4. Optional: Select the All effectivities (remove FALSE instances) option to remove instances with "false" effectivity.

All available models, model versions, manufacturing plans, and units are displayed, filtering out objects that are no longer valid (created under a canceled change action, for example).

  5. Click Apply.
The configuration filters are defined on all the applicable roots.
    Tips:
    • If you close the dialog box without applying the filter criteria, the selected object remains explored without any filter configuration.
    • The filter is not persistent and specific to the session.
    • Click Clear to clear your selection and initialize the dialog box with the default values.
