Displaying Tool Color on Rough Stock

You can visualize the tool color on rough stock during material removal with machine simulation.

  1. Open data in machining.
  2. Go to Me > Preferences > App Preferences > Simulation > Machining NC Machining Apps Common Services > Simulation and select the checkbox Enable material removal computation during machine simulation..
  3. Go to Me > Preferences > App Preferences > Simulation > Machining NC Machining Apps Common Services > Material Removal > Color, to change tool color on rough stock.
  4. Select an activity and launch Machine Simulation.
The in-process rough stock is in white color.

  5. Simulate the operation.
The material removed is displayed based on the tool color.

  6. Define the machining feed rate on the Machining Operation to be greater than Max Machining Feedrate defined in the Machine Editor dialog box.
Max machining feedrate: 1000mm_mn, Rapid feedrate 6000mm_mn.

Simulate the tool path segment at a RAPID feedrate.

Collisions also occur between tool and rough stock during machine simulation with integrated material removal (material removed can have a graphic change for these collisions).
