You can create a manufacturing simulation from product, resource, or PPR
context data. A manufacturing simulation enables you test different scenarios that you can use
the simulation functions available in Live Simulation.
The manufacturing
simulation is an object that stores simulation objects. In most cases, the definitions of
simulation objects such as sequences, states, scenarios, and probes is propagated for re-use
when you end a session. Many of these objects cannot be propagated outside of a manufacturing
simulation.
Click Simulation Object
Specify Simulation context name in Machining
Simulation dialog box and a description if desired.
Click OK.
By default,
The Manufacturing
Cell is the Active Simulation object (ASO), in the Simulation App.
Use Resource Selection
when
you have to select certain features belonging to a product or resource (instead of an entire
product/resource). See Selecting the Active Simulation Object
