System Catalog

You can use this catalog that contains PPR data. The PPR data has a hierarchy of System object. The PPR data in the catalog is used in Generate Systems by Catalog command.

Defining PPR Data with Systems

You can define PPR data with systems.

  1. From theAuthoring section, select General System from the secondary toolbar.
    Creates a general system under the activated root General System.

    You can also insert other types of systems from the other submenu commands.

    Alternatively, you can insert the System objects from the context menu commands available on the System object in the specification tree by:

    • Select System object in specification tree.
    • Right mouse click the System object.
    • From the displayed Context menu, click Insert.
    • From the displayed menu, click the available commands to insert a System under the selected System.

  2. Create a hierarchy of System objects and save the PPR data.

Adding PPR to Catalog

You can add a Product with Check objects to the Action rules catalog. Before you begin, create the required Product with Filter Check objects.

  1. In the top bar, click Add > Content

    Note: Before you begin, create the required PPR data with System objects.

    The New Content dialog box appears.

    If the Action rule catalog already exists, then search for the Action rule catalog and open.

    • In the top bar, select Search.
    • From What to Search for, click More.. and enter Catalog.
    • Click Catalog and close the panel.
    • Enter the name of the Action rule catalog name in the search string.xxx and a list of catalogs with matching names are displayed.
    • Select the Action rule catalog and right-click Explore to open the catalog.

  2. Expand the Catalog category and click Catalog .
    Creates the catalog. For more information about creating the catalog, see Design IP ClassificationUser's Guide: Authoring a Catalog: Creating a Catalog.
    Note: Skip this step if the existing catalog is open.
  3. Right-click the catalog and select Insert > New Chapter.
    The Catalog Chapter dialog box appears.
  4. In the Name box, enter the name of your chapter and click Finish.
    Creates a chapter and is available in the catalog structure. A warning message appears if the name of the inserted chapter matches that of an existing chapter.
  5. Add Check Object product in the chapter; then right-click the selected chapter and select Insert > Insert Existing Object and select the PPR Data.
    Adds description node referencing the selected PPR Data under the chapter.
