Create Manufacturing Fasteners from Position or Fasteners Dialog Box

The Create Manufacturing Fasteners from Position or Create Manufacturing Fasteners from Fasteners dialog box provides options for creating fasteners and editing user parameters.

To access these dialog boxes, select Manufacturing Fasteners from Position or Manufacturing Fasteners from Fasteners from the Drilling Riveting section of the action bar.

Select Features

Manufacturing Product
Assigns a name you can edit.
Reference Name
This describes a Reference Name or a rivet table is imported, then rivet reference is displayed. Lists the rivet references of the imported rivet table.
3D Representation
Allows you to display 3D representations of manufacturing fasteners during and after simulation. This allows you to check for mistakes, such as double processing a fastener or installing a new fastener on top of an existing fastener. 3D representations are hidden by default.

Rivet Parameters

Assign the required rivet parameters.

Note: If stack depth min values is greater than stack depth max value an error message is displayed.

Color

Allows you to select a color for the 3D representations of manufacturing fasteners. This allows you to better distinguish between groups of fasteners.

You can select a color using one of three tabs:

  • Color wheel
  • RBG slider
  • Standard palette

The manufacturing fasteners color is set to green by default.

Create Pattern

Create Pattern
If checked, creates a new manufacturing pattern owning all the created Manufacturing Fasteners (rivet reference name will be added to pattern name).
User Parameters
Opens the Edit User Parameters dialog box to let you add or delete parameters. This option appears when the User Parameters check box is selected in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > Simulation > Machining > NC Machining Apps Common Services > Operation > User Interface.
Edit User Parameters
Name
Lets you enter a name for the parameter.
Type
Lets you select one of the following types:
  • Boolean
  • Integer
  • Real
  • String
  • Length
  • Angle
Value
Lets you enter a value for the parameter.

The button allows you to validate the parameter to add.

Current Data
Displays the added parameters.
