Importing a Rivet Table in xls Format

You can import a file in xls format containing all the references of rivet with associated parameters.


Before you begin: Right-click the Manufacturing View and select Sort by Manufacturing Fasteners.
  1. From the Top Bar, select Add > Content.
  2. In the New Content dialog box, select Document > VPM Document from the Types area.
  3. In the Select File dialog box, select a file in xls format.
    The VPM Document dialog box appears. Some attributes are automatically filled according to the properties of the selected file.
  4. Click OK to save the xls file as a VPM document.
  5. In the tree, select a manufacturing product and from the Drilling Riveting section of the action bar, click Set Rivet Table .

    The xls file containing all the references of rivets with associated parameters is acquired. The corresponding data from the table is used when creating manufacturing fasteners.

    Note: The Rivet Reference is the rivet name.

  6. Search the VPM document by typing a search criteria in the box of the Top Bar, and select it from the search results.
    The file is imported and appears in the Manufacturing View.

Notes:
  • Alternatively, you can right-click a manufacturing product in the tree and select Set Rivet Table to import a rivet table.
  • The rivet table in xls format should not have any blank cells. The blank cells should be filled with - symbol.
