Importing Tools and Assemblies from External Sources

You can import NC tools and assemblies from external sources into the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. You can upload .xml and .xsd file formats.

  1. Click Import Resources from the Setup section of the action bar.
  2. In the NC Cutting Resources Import dialog box that appears, do any of the following:
    • Select the XML exchange file to be used as input on the disk.
    • Select the XML exchange file to be used as output on the disk.
    • Select the XML FBDI report files to be used as input on the disk.
  3. Under Report file (output), specify the path where the HTML report is to be generated.
  4. Click Import.

The selected exchange files are updated and assigned an external PLM identifier. An HTML report is generated at the specified location that contains the summary of all the imported tool resources.
