Importing and Loading OLP Translators

Before using translators in Robot Programming, they must first be imported into your local database environment and subsequently loaded.

Importing Translators

Translators are provided that you can import into your database. Robot translators are located in the win_b64/startup/OLP/Translators directory of your product installation. Each translator is a discrete 3D XML file that can be imported into your session.

  1. Select + > Import > 3D XML.
    The Import 3D XML dialog box appears.
  2. Select and navigate to the win_b64/startup/OLP/Translators folder.
    The Import 3D XML dialog is populated with the available translators.
  3. Select a translator in the list and click OK.
    The Import Progression dialog box appears as the translator is imported.

Loading Translators

After the translators have been imported to your database, you can add them into your list of available macro libraries for use.

  1. From the Tools section of the action bar, click Macros .
    The Macros dialog box appears.
  2. Select Macro libraries.
    The Macro libraries dialog box appears.
  3. From the Library type list, select PLM VSTA.
  4. Click Add existing library.
    The Macro library browser dialog box appears.
  5. Enter the search terms for the required translators and click Search.
    Matching results appear based on your search criteria.
  6. From the search results, select one or more translators (use the Ctrl key for multiple selections) and click OK.
    The Macro library browser dialog box closes, and the selected libraries are displayed in the Macro libraries dialog box.
  7. Click Close in the Macro libraries dialog box.
    In the Macros dialog box, the loaded translators are now available in the Current macro library or document list.
