Importing from an Existing Additive Process

You can import resources and rules from an existing additive process (PPR) to another process in session, using Build Setup.

Resources include machine, build tray and powder. Rules include process parameters, part positioning, supports, slicing and scan path generation rules.

Before you begin: Make sure the name of rules in session do not match the name of rules to import.
Note: Existing additive processes (PPRs) created before R2018x must be reconstructed.
  1. From the Setup section of the action bar, click Build Setup .
  2. In the Build Setup panel, expand the Process Reuse tab.
  3. To import resources, select the Resources check box.
  4. To import rules, select the Rules check box.
  5. Select the PPR which content you want to import as follows:
    1. Click Search Element and type a search criteria in the Search box of the top bar.
    2. From the search results, select the desired PPR.

The resources and rules are imported and appear in the tree.
