Selecting Multiple Parts

The parts multiselection tools palette lets you select multiple parts in the work area.

  1. In the Build Layout panel, click Multiselect Parts .
    The parts multiselection tools palette and a bounding box with the Robot at its center display.
  2. Select multiple parts, and move them along the build tray.

    Note: To unselect a part, select it again.

    The selected parts are highlighted. Similar parts are grouped in the bounding box.
  3. Options are available in the parts multiselection tools palette to manipulate the selected parts. Click:

    • to reset the selection and the initial positions of the selected parts
    • to shift to the top view
    • to shift to the bottom view
    • to select a new location on a face, an edge, or a point
    • to reset the center of rotation to the center of the bounding box
    • to rotate all the parts along with the visible bounding box
    • to rotate each part around their own gravity center.

    Notes:
    • The parts display in red whenever they clash with other parts in the build tray or with the build tray bounding box, or go beyond the build tray bounding box.
    • You can also use the Robot to rotate the selected parts along the Z axis (perpendicular to the build tray).

  4. In the parts multiselection tools palette, click:

    • Accept to finish the multiselection
    • Delete to delete the selected parts
    • Reject to cancel the multiselection.
