Create the System-Service Item Scope

In this first step, you will define the scope of work for your system structure.

Before you begin: A Service Assembly structure is already defined.
Note: This tutorial illustrates how to create and detail a system structure starting from an already-defined Service Assembly structure. The Service Assembly structure used is the one you would obtain with the previous tutorial.

  1. In the tree, right-click the PPR Context node and select Insert System > General System.
A root General system is created.
  2. Right-click the root General system node and select Manage Scopes.
  3. In the Manage scopes panel, click Create Scope to Item/Workplan.
  4. Select the root Service Assembly node in the tree.
A System-Service Item scope is created between the root system and the root Service Assembly.

A blue circle appears next to the root General system, indicating that the scope is defined.
