Parameters
- Collision Tolerance
-
With this option, you can specify the tolerance value in mm between
colliding objects. Tooltips for the home position are removed from the
collision list during a tool search that involves doing a collision check for each
home position.
Define any tooltips for each home
position. For example, in close home position, the caps can be
defined as tooltips because at this home position, they are
expected to come in contact with the work piece. The same caps need
not be defined as tooltips for open home position.
- Step
Angle
-
This controls the step size of the different angles that is
analyzed. The larger the step size, the more rapid the analysis;
the smaller the step size, the more detailed the analysis.
- Allowed Failure
- The Allowed Failure percentage determines the extent to
which the analysis is conducted on all the welds in the activity.
If you define the allowed failure rate as 0%, once an inaccessible
weld is discovered, the analysis ceases for the gun. If you define the
Allowed Failure rate as 100%, all welds are checked,
regardless of the accessibility of those checked.
- Compute from Start angle to End angle
-
When this check box is selected, then the pie results are computed
for a full 360 degrees. If this option is cleared, then computations for the pie results are done only till the first accessible
location. Flip and No Flip results are combined in the same pie
results.
-
Compute with Tool flipped
-
This checks the flip angle of the tool's approach. Selecting this
check box slows down the computation and provides detail to the
analysis.
-
Collision Objects
-
Customizing the collision list reduces the time required to validate a new
product since the collision check is performed only with the
selected objects instead of all the available objects.
Selecting Edit the list of collision objects brings up the Manage collision objects dialog box, which lists all the products in
collision list.
By default, Include all Objects is enabled, and Collision Parts includes all the objects in the world. You can remove any part from the list that must not be considered for collision analysis. This can be achieved by either selecting the object and clicking Remove object or double-clicking the object in the viewer. User can empty the Collision Parts list by clearing Include all objects. All parts in the list are removed and the viewer is empty. When a part is clicked in the main viewer, the corresponding row in the list is highlighted and the object is highlighted in the viewer. If the object is not in the Collision Parts list, the object is added to the list and the corresponding viewer.
