Loading and Saving RCS Data

This task describes how to create an operation to load and save RCS data.

This operation instructs the RCS module to load and save RCS module data files at a specified location on the server host (RCS) machine.

Before you begin: Load data with a robot and set up RRS.
  1. From the RRS Connect toolbar, click RRS Operations .
  2. Select the robot on which to operate.
The robot's RRS Operations dialog box appears.
  3. Click the RCS Data tab.

    The following information is displayed:

    Server Host
The name or IP address of the RRS server machine.
    RCS Robot Path
The Robot Path directory sent to the RCS module in the RRS INITIALIZE call.
  4. Click Load RCS Data.
The RRS product issues the RRS LOAD_RCS_DATA call, which reloads RCS data files from the RCS Robot Path directory. Note that, if the RCS module does not support this call, this button will not be selectable.
  5. Click Save RCS Data.
The RRS product issues the RRS SAVE_RCS_DATA call, which saves RCS data files based on the RCS module's current state in the RCS Robot Path directory. If the RCS module does not support this call, this button will not be selectable.
