Exchanging IO Signals

You can view IO signal connections for a given resource as a list, export them to a file, and later import them for use in another resource.


Before you begin: You have defined IO signals between resources within one or more cells.

Propagating IO Signals
  1. In the Sequencing side tab, right-click the organizational resource and select Exchange IO from the context menu.


    The Signal Exchange dialog box appears, and displays the signals defined for the organizational resource as a list.



  2. Use the Signal Direction lists to swap the focus of the view between Input signals or Output signals.


  3. Use the Filter Resource lists to display the list of signals for a specific resource.


  4. Click to export the list of signals to an external file.
    The Export IO Mapping dialog box appears, and allows you to define a filename and location for the file. Upon clicking Save, the file is saved in XLS format.
  5. Click to import a list of previously saved signals from an external file.
    The Import IO Mapping dialog box appears, and allows you to select a file to import. Upon clicking Open, the signals defined in the file are imported.
  6. Click OK in the Signal Exchange dialog box to exit Exchange IO.
