Overriding Motion Profile Speed during Task Analysis

When optimizing tasks, you can override the current motion profile speed with your own specified value to analyze the impact on the simulation behavior and cycle time.

Before you begin:
  1. Click Simulation Options .
The Simulations Options dialog box appears.
  2. Click Device Simulation Options .
    Options for device simulation appear.
  3. Select Enable Override Motion Parameters.
  4. Click Option to define overrides .
The Device Simulation Analysis panel appears.
  5. Select either the organizational resource that owns the programmable resources (i.e., the station), a robot, or a task.
Note: If a station is seleted, only those tasks that are run in its nominal procedure are listed in the Device Simulation Analysis panel.

The Device Simulation Analysis is populated with tasks based on your selection.

You can double-click any cell in the Speed % or Delay Start columns to directly enter a value. The range of values for Speed % is 0 to 72000 percent, and the range of possible values for Delay Start is 0 to 86400 seconds (24 hours).

You can right-click any row in the Device Simulation Analysis to reveal a context menu that provides Revert Row(s) and Revert All.

    • Select Revert Row(s) to reset the Speed % and Delay Start columns back to their default values for one or more currently selected rows.
    • Select Revert All to reset the Speed % and Delay Start columns back to their default values for all rows displayed in the panel.
