Migrating Tags and Tag Groups into V5 Data

You can migrate existing 3DEXPERIENCE tags and tag groups into data that can be opened and validated in a V5 environment.

3DEXPERIENCE data can be exported into V5 data with downward compatibility via the Export command.

  1. From the top bar, click Share and select Export from the menu.

    The Export dialog box appears.

  2. From the Format list, select CATIA File.

  3. Enter a location where the exported data will be stored.

  4. In the Options section, select the V5 version that the exported data will be used in.

  5. Click OK to begin the export.

    Upon completion, the exported objects are populated in the specified location and the Operation report dialog box appears.

    Result indicates the success Status of the export. You can click Open report to view a report of the exported items in XML format.
