Using Teach Layouts

Teach layouts allow you to define specific customized views of the Teach table by selecting which columns are visible. Each defined layout then appears as a tabbed window in Teach.

  1. In Me > Preferences > Robotics > Robot Simulation > Teach Layout Preferences, select Show Layouts in Teach.

  2. For Defined Layout, click to name and save a new layout.

The New Layout dialog box appears. You can enter a name for the new layout.

  3. Click OK. The new layout is selected as the Defined Layout.

  4. In the list of column types, select which columns are to be hidden or visible by clicking for each. You can also select rows and drag them to another location to change the default order that the columns are shown.

Left Frame and Right Frame determine the visibility status for each column type. Column types set as visible in the Left Frame are always visible and do not move when the Teach table is scrolled horizontally. Column types set as visible in the Right Frame scroll horizontally in accordance with the bottom scroll bar.

  5. Repeat Steps 2-4 to create as many layouts as necessary, and click OK to close the Preferences window.
  6. From the Programming section of the action bar, click Teach and select a task.

The layouts you have defined appear as tabs in the Teach window:
