Creating an Attachment

You can create an attachment between two resources (or a product and resource) so that they move as if they were a single entity.

Before you begin:

Open the content for which you want to create an attachment. The object that is getting attached (for example, a tool) must have a base port defined. The object to which an object is attached (for example, a device) must have a mount port defined. An attachment can only be created under a resource parent node.

In a manufacturing product scenario, product data should be aggregated directly under the manufacturing product in order to create a persistent attachment between product data and a workpiece positioner.
