Attaching a New Document
Before you begin: Open a product
structure in
Product Finder
or
Collaborative
Lifecycle.
- Select a part in the product structure tree.

Right-click the part and select
Document > Attach New
Document
.
The New Content dialog box appears. -
Change the
Type to
Document and select
Document or
engineering document,
depending on the type of document you want to attach to the object.
The corresponding Document or engineering document dialog box appears, according to the type of document selected.

Select a document in the
Select File dialog box and click
Save.
In the engineering document dialog box, the Name, Document Name, and File Name attributes are automatically filled according to the properties of the selected file.
Note: Open the Files Information tab to remove the selected document and attach another document. Click Browse to choose a file. -
Click
OK
You see a message confirming that the engineering document has been successfully attached, and it is visible in the product structure.
