Editing the Properties of Multiple Documents

You can use the Sheet Editor to view and edit the properties of multiple documents at once, in spreadsheet form. It can be accessed from the product structure, search results, impact graph, and Product Structure Design.

  1. Select a part that contains documents.
  2. Expand the product structure.
  3. Select a document and click Sheet Editor... from the Lifecycle section of the action bar.
    The Sheet Editor pane appears.
  4. Choose the document whose attributes you want to edit.
  5. Select the attribute you want to modify, type the new value and press the Enter key.

    One of the following icons appears to indicate the modification status:

    Icons Status

    Attributes in the row have been modified and are compliant with the Business Rules check.

    Attributes in the row have been modified but warnings have been raised by the Business Rules check.

    Attributes in the row have been modified but errors have been raised by the Business Rules check.

  6. To save your changes, click Commit .
    The changes are saved in 3DEXPERIENCE. For more information about the Sheet Editor pane, see Using Attributes with the Sheet Editor in.
  7. To close the Sheet Editor pane, press the Escape key or click the X at the upper-right corner of the pane.
