Shareable product licensing is an entirely separate licensing mechanism that coexists
in parallel with named user licensing.
As their name suggests, shareable licenses can be shared among users and are not tied to
specific users. Some products can be sold as shareable products, which can be granted and
released during the session using the Shareable Products Preference.
Shareable product licenses comply with the Concurrent User Licensing model and are network
licenses served by the DS License Server.
The upper part of the preference allows you to request then later to release a license during
the session. The name of the license server having granted the license is indicated.
The lower part of the preference displays the licenses that have been granted at the session
startup.
If a shareable product license has been inadvertently assigned to a user in the P&O
database, a corresponding concurrent user license will be granted at the beginning of the
session and released upon exiting. It is not possible to release this license during the
session (it appears in the lower part of the Preference).
