Abaqus, the Nastran exporter populates MID1 and MID2 fields in PSHELL. The MID3 field is populated
based on the conditions below.
- If the computed shear factor is ≥1000, the Nastran exporter leaves MID3 blank.
- If the shear factor is <1000 or if *TRANSVERSE SHEAR STIFFNESS is not
explicitly defined for the Abaqus shell, the Nastran exporter populates the MID3 field.
