Creating Rectangles

Rectangle lets you create a rectangle with specified position or parameters.

  1. Locate the first point for the rectangle.

    The Tools Palette displays value boxes for defining the point's coordinates.

  2. In Tools Palette, enter the coordinates of one of the vertices of the rectangle.

    The Tools Palette now displays two additional value boxes, Width and Height.

  3. Position the diagonally opposite vertex from the first point by specifying the values for the width and height.
    The rectangle is created.

    Note: You can also create a rectangle manually. To do this, move the pointer to activate SmartPick and click as soon as you get the required coordinates or length.
