Project 3D Elements lets you project edges
of the elements you select from the
work area
onto the sketch plane.
In the
Element(s) to project box, select a face of
the 3D object as the reference element.
In the
Near element box, select the side face of the
reference element.
Optional: Select the No Canonical Curve
check box to create a complex curve instead of a canonical curve.
Click
OK.
The edges are projected onto the sketch plane. These projections are yellow
.
Important:
The marks of the projection are associated to
the 3D geometry. Removing a single mark leads to removal of all the associated
marks. To avoid this you can project elements using select boundary edges.
