What's New

This page describes recent changes in Sketcher.

R2022x GA

Adding Equivalent Dimension

You can now add new equivalent dimension constraints to the existing equivalent dimensions group of the same type.
Benefits: The new equivalent dimension constraint can be added with minimum steps.
For more information, see Working with Dimensional/Geometrical Constraints

Hide or Show Outputs

You can now hide or show the output elements each time you hide or show the sketch corresponding to the output elements, in Me > Preferences>App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Sketcher > Sketcher, under Sketch Plane select Hide or show outputs at the same time as the sketch check box.
Benefits: The need to explicitly hide or show the outputs is eliminated.
For more information, see Creating Output Features

Changing Orientation of an Output Profile

You can now change the orientation of the output profiles.
Benefits: The design correctness and efficiency is improved.
For more information, see Analyzing Sketched Geometries

Curvilinear Distance Constraint Preview

A preview of the direction of curvilinear distance constraint on a periodic curve is displayed when you create it using Constraints Defined in Dialog Box command.
Benefits: The overall user experience is enhanced.
For more information, see Creating Constraints via a Dialog Box

Creating Associative Text

You can now edit and modify the data of the sketch text.
Benefits: The productivity and design efficiency is improved.
For more information, see Creating Text

Support of Libraries

You can now generate a library of geometries groups classified automatically from sketches of the part, and reuse these groups by re-instantiating them in another sketch.
Benefits: The productivity is improved.
For more information, see Creating a Positioned Sketch
