Auto Constraint detects possible constraints between the selected elements and imposes these constraints once detected.

Before you begin: Create a simple profile.

About Auto-Constraining a Group of Elements
  1. Select the elements to be constrained.

  2. From the Sketch section of the action bar, click Auto Constraint .
The Auto Constraint dialog box appears. The Elements to be constrained field indicates all the elements detected by the app after selecting the profile.
  3. In the Symmetry lines box, select the vertical line in the work area.
All the elements in the profile that are symmetrical to the line will be detected.
  4. Click OK to constrain the sketch including the profile and the vertical line and, if needed, modify the location of the constraints.

The sketch is not displayed in green because it is not constrained in relation to external elements (edges, planes and so on).
