Creating Symmetrical Extensions

You can create a median to an existing line.

Before you begin: Create a line.

  1. From the Sketch section of the action bar, click Line .
  2. Click Symmetrical in Tools Palette.
  3. Click the center point of the line which is to be assigned a symmetrical extension.


  4. Drag the pointer to the required location.
    The median appears. It is perpendicular to the line, at the line midpoint.
  5. Click to locate the symmetrical extension.
    The median is created.

    Note: You can move the symmetrical extension to a new position.
