Working with Interference Simulation Content

You can visualize interference simulations and interference metrics in Design Review for Dashboard, and display or highlight the interference simulations and interference metrics in slides and formats.

This task shows you how to:

Visualize Interference Simulation Content

You can visualize the interference simulation content.

Before you begin:
  • Open an interference simulation or interference metrics in Design Review for Dashboard.
  • Specify the required preferences to manage the loading of objects and the visibility of various interference features. For more information, see Editing App Specific Preferences.
  1. From the Interference section of the action bar, click Analyze Interferences .
A panel displays all the loaded interference metrics and their details.
  2. From the interference panel, select the interference metrics.
  3. From the Interference section of the action bar, click Color Overload to apply colors to the parts in the selected interference.

You can change these colors from the preferences. For more information, see Editing App Specific Preferences.

  4. Move the slider at the top of the widget to increase or decrease the opacity of the objects that are not part of the selected interferences.

Note: You can click for the lowest opacity and for the highest opacity.

Create Slides with Interference Content

You can display or highlight the interferences in slides and formats.

Before you begin:
  • Display the required interference metrics as explained in the above task.
  • Create a review and a review markup linked to the loaded interference data.
Note: If the review contains at least one markup, the context is loaded based on the state of the Load Interference Simulation with preference, saved at the time of markup creation. If no markup is created, then the current state of the preference is considered. For more information, see Table 9.
  1. In the interference panel, select the required interference metrics as a context for the slide.

Note: You cannot change the context of the slide after the creation of the slide.

The selected metrics are displayed in the widget.
  2. From the Markup section of the action bar, click Slide .
    • A new slide highlighting the selected interference metrics is created and its thumbnail is added in the Slides panel.
    • A new column is added in the interference panel to display the number of slides in which the respective interference metrics are highlighted. If you click next to this number, all the slides associated with the respective interference metrics are displayed one after another.
  3. Add the required markup features to the slide and create formats from the slide.
  4. In the Slides panel, click to display the thumbnails of the slides linked to the selected interference metrics.
The Slides panel displays the thumbnails of only those slides that contain the selected interference metrics.
