Managing Architecture Number

You can assign, modify, or remove architecture numbers from logical references.

This task shows you how to:

Context:

This command enables both setting and modification of an architecture number.

It is available on multiselection of logical references.

Assign Architecture Number

You can identify a logical reference, assign, and modify an architecture number to it. This command is available when multiple logical references are selected.

  1. Right-click the required logical reference and select Set Architecture Number.
    The Set Architecture Number dialog box opens.
  2. From Set Architecture Number, select or remove a check box for rows to assign architecture number.

    Note: The architecture number is define to the selected row only.

  3. Click Set.
    Note: If the unicity check has been defined by an administrator, it may happen that global action is refused. Then the Set Architecture Number dialog box is still displayed with the conflicting Architecture number highlighted. You can amend the entered value and click OK.

Remove Architecture Number

Right-click the required logical reference and select Remove Architecture Number
The architecture number is removed from the logical reference.
Note: The architecture number cannot be removed from a reference, if
  • The reference is in Frozen state.
  • You have no access to modify a reference.

Copy Architecture Number to Logical Reference's Title

You can copy a logical reference's architecture number to its title by selecting Copy Architecture Number to the Logical Reference Title option.The user setting to toggle Setting Architecture Number value to Title has been moved to System Architecture Domain in Collaborative Space Configuration Center managed by the user having administrator access.

Note: The logical reference title is updated with the assigned architecture number.

Export Architecture Number Unicity

You can export a report to check architecture number uniqueness in a structure.

  1. From the data grid view, open the required root logical reference
  2. From ID card menu, select Export and click Architecture Unicity in Structure.

The export report in .csv format is generated

The export report is generated as follows.

  1. Retrieval of the selected item structure (all levels) is done in the following ways.
    1. From Index data
    2. If configuration filter is selected, apply the same to get filtered instances.
  2. Identification of the duplicated architecture number involves following actions.
    1. Group the Instances by architecture number
    2. Ignore instances with empty or blank architecture number
    3. Ignore the instances if architecture number is not duplicated
  3. The row data with the duplicated architecture number instances is generated.
