-
Choose the installation directory and select Next.
-
Select the UDN - Collaborative Designer for NX Extension (formerly UEN - PLM
Collaboration Services for NX Extension) component for installation and select
Next.
Information about the component selection appears.
-
Select Install.
The installation for selected components begins automatically. The XCAD Design
Connectors Common build downloads the Design with NX Client installer in the folder [XCAD Design Connectors installation folder
location] \Win_b64\UENC
. For example, C:\Program Files\Dassault
Systemes\B424xcadconnectors\Win_b64\UENC
.
If preferred, you can continue with the installation of Design with NX and it starts automatically after the XCAD Design Connector's installation. You can
also delay the installation by exiting the integration installation and start it later
by executing PLMCollaborationServicesforNXClient.exe
.
The Introduction window appears with information regarding the install
process.
Note:
Silent installation of Design with NX Client is impossible.
-
Select Next.
One of the requirements for installing the UEN application, is to provide the License
Key file location. The Administrator can use the installer for Design with NX Client for generating the License Key file.
To generate the license key for Design with NX, the install machine needs to have access to the Design with NX License Server containing the c_p_p_author license. The newly generated license key
resides on the disk.
The Administrator needs to perform the install steps to generate the license key. You can provide the
location of this License Key file during the installation. By default, the
Generate License Key option is cleared. If the Administrator provides a license key file, the user can enter the path of the license file and
select Next.
The installer verifies the licenses.
-
If the License Key file is not available, then the Administrator needs to select the Generate License Key option to generate a
license and then select Next.
-
Enter the NX lmutil directory and select Next.
The installer looks for the directory installed by Design with NX that contains the lmutil program. If the location does not exist on the disk, an error
message appears.
-
Provide the valid path for lmutil so the installer can request the valid
ufunc_development license details such as the License Server hostname and port.
-
Enter the License Server hostname, port, the company name (owner of the
ufunc_development license), and the storage location of the license key.
-
Select Next.
Note:
If the ufunc_development license is unavailable, an error message appears. Once
OK is selected, the installer returns to the Verify
Unigraphics Developer License screen. If the installer cannot find the
ufunc_development license, verify that it is available and that the computer with Design with NX has access to it. If problems persist, contact the Design with NX
Administrator. Your company must have a valid ufunc_development license to install Design with NX.
If a company wants to legally possess the Design with NX, they must possess a valid ufunc_deveopment license.
The next panel displays a license agreement. This agreement contains the key's
terms and conditions that the installer generates.
-
After reading the license agreement and accepting its terms, select
Next.
The license key now resides in the
UPSNX_LICENSE.txt
file in a
designated directory location.
The installer then verifies the license. On validating
the license key, whether generated or provided by the user, you can view the Key
Validation information.
-
Select Next.
Note:
If the key is not valid, an error message appears. When this occurs,
select OK, reenter, or regenerate the license key file and
reverify it. If the error persists, contact the Administrator. The Design with NX Client requires a valid license key for the installation.
Once through the key validation, the installer prompts for the Get
User Input for Version of NX.
-
Choose which NX version to install and select Next.
After you choose the proper version of NX, the installer prompts you for the
location of Unigraphics. This is the directory that contains the UGII
directory.
-
Enter the location of Design with NX and select Next.
Options appear for creating the product shortcut for easy access.
-
To create a shortcut, select In an existing Program Group and
select Next.
During the installation of the Design with NX, if On the Desktop is selected as the shortcut folder, a desktop
shortcut Start UPSNX
is created on the desktop.
For the Design with NX integration to be functional, choose one of the following required
