Managing Analysis Basis

You can add item as analysis basis and manage them. Analysis basis items are analyzed using impact analysis and determined if they are impacted items.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin:
  1. Open the required change request.
  2. Open the Impact Analysis tab.
  3. Select the required impact analysis and click Information.
  4. Open the Analysis Basis tab.

Add Affected Item for Analysis Basis.

You can add affected items as analysis basis to perform analysis on those items.

Required access role: At least Reader

  1. From the tab toolbar, click Add Analysis Basis.
  2. Search for the required object.
  3. From the search results, select the required object and click OK.

The selected object is added as analysis basis. To remove an object from analysis basis, select the object and click Remove. You can double click the Reason for Change column and add information on why the change is required for this object.

Add Analysis Basis Object as Impacted Item

You can add an object from analysis basis as an impacted item.

Required access role: At least Reader

  1. Select the required object.
  2. From the tab toolbar, click Add as Impacted Item.

The object is added as an impacted item.

Modify Analysis Basis Details

You can either modify the details of analysis basis items consecutively or update the details for multiple analysis basis items at the same time.

  1. Select the items for which you want to modify the details and click Mass Update.
  2. Select the required option to update the attributes for only the selected items or for all items.
  3. Select the check box corresponding to the attribute that you want to modify.
  4. Enter the new value for the attribute.
  5. Click OK.

The selected attribute is updated. In the Analysis Basis tab, you can also double click the Reason for Change column for an analysis basis item and update it.

Remove Analysis Basis Item

You can remove items that you have added as analysis basis.

Select the analysis basis item that you want to remove and click Remove.
The selected item is removed.
