About Connectors

Connectors store the information that allows your 3DEXPERIENCE platform apps to locate the data on the external SCM system.

Managing Connectors

To manage connectors, you must open an app that supports connecting to remote SCM systems, for example, Connected Software. To manage connectors, launch the 3DEXPERIENCE platform app and select Manage Connectors.

Connector Context Actions

From the context menu (down arrow) on each of the connectors, you can:

Delete
Delete the selected connector. This deletes the connection between the data in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform system and the repository in the SCM system. It does not delete any software items or data on the SCM system.
Note: A connector can only be deleted if there are no software items connected to it.


Maturity
View and advance the selected connector object through the lifecycle.

Page Actions for Connectors

Action Description


Search
Filters the list of available connectors displayed to match the characters entered in the field.
Sort By Name/Type/Modified



Sort by specified field in Ascending or Descending order. The displayed icon shows the current sort order.


Add a Connector
Create a new connector.


Delete a Connector
Delete the selected connector. This deletes the connection between the data in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and the repository in the SCM system. It does not delete any software items or data on the SCM system. You must have selected one or more connectors in order for this action to be active.
Note: A connector can only be deleted if there are no software items connected to it.


Maturity
View and advance the selected connector object through the lifecycle.


Unselect All
Clear any selected objects.






Tile/List
Changes the item display view. Options are:
  • tiles with small icons (Default).
  • tiles with larger icons.
  • Textual Tile view showing the properties of each item.
/Sort by: Sort the list of objects alphabetically by a select set of object properties, such as Title or Type.
