Creating Request Templates

You can create the request template.


Before you begin: Component Request Administration must be open in the dashboard.

  1. From the home page, click Request Templates > New Request Template on the page toolbar.
  2. Enter these details:

    Fields Description
    Title Enter the required title for the request template.
    Request Category The request template is created based on the required request category. From the list, select Component Introduction Request, Component Modification Request, or Source Change Notification.
    Component Category Select the classification information used to classify the request template. Click in the Component Category field to view the General Class objects that are in the Active state. Select one or more component categories. For more information on creating General Class objects, see the IP Classification User's Guide.
    Description The description of the request template.
    Request Assignee The user or user group selected to have access to the component request when the request template is used. Using type-ahead, click inside this field to select the Request Assignee or click and select the user or user group from 3DSearch. Click to clear the text.

  3. Click Create.

The request template is created in the In Work state and a confirmation message displays.
