Resubmitting a Failed Exchange Job

You can recreate an exchange job that failed from Enterprise IP Integration Management.

You can only recreate a job with the same attributes. Exchange jobs that are resubmitted and their copies are part of the same resubmission family.

This task shows you how to:

Resubmit the Failed Exchange Job

  1. In the grid view, select a failed exchange job.
  2. From the toolbar, click Resubmit .

    A confirmation message appears.

  3. Click Ok.

A copy of the selected job is created, and appears in the grid view. The icon is displayed on the rows of the selected exchange job and its copy to indicate that they are part of a resubmission family.

View and Manage the Exchange Jobs of a Family

You can display the jobs that are part of the same resubmission family in the side pane.

  1. In the grid view, double-click an exchange job that is part of a resubmission family (identified with the icon).
A pane slides in from the right, with the details of the selected exchange job. The title of the job is displayed at the top of the pane, with its creator and its status.
  2. Click the Family tab.
This tab displays the list of exchange jobs that are part of the same family in separate tiles. This list is composed of the exchange jobs with the same attributes that were resubmitted, and their copies.

The following information is displayed for each exchange job:

    • The date and time the exchange job was created
    • The status of the exchange job
    • The user that created the exchange job
    • The date the exchange job execution started
    • The date the exchange job execution ended
Exchange jobs are sorted by creation date, from the most recent to the oldest.

Note: If you select an exchange job in the Family tab, it is also selected in the grid view, and its related information are available in the Details tab. For more information, see Viewing the Details of an Exchange Job.

Exchange jobs that were not created during the selected time interval are grayed out, and you cannot select them to display their details.

  3. To download the report of an export job of the family, select it and click Download at the bottom of the tile.
  4. To delete an exchange job of the family, select it and click Delete at the bottom of the tile.

Note: If you delete all the exchange jobs of a family except one, the icon and the Family tab are still displayed for the remaining job. This indicates that this job was either resubmitted, or created with the Resubmit command.
