Managing Attachments

You can add, download, remove, and view details of attachments associated with a component request.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Open the component request. For more information, see Opening Component Requests.

Add Specification

You can add one specification to a component request.

Select the Attachments tab.
From the page toolbar, select Add > Add Specification > Add Existing. From the search results, select the attachments to add to the component request.

Note: An error message displays if you do not have access to add an attachment.

Important: All existing specifications display, except those in the Obsolete state.

The specification is listed in the Attachments tab.

You can add attachments to a component request.

Select the Attachments tab.
From the page toolbar, select Add > Add Attachments > Add Existing. From the search results, select the attachments to add to the component request.

Note: An error message displays if you do not have access to add an attachment.

Important: All existing attachments display, except those in the Obsolete state.

The attachments are listed in the Attachments tab.

You can download an attachment associated with the component request.

Select the Attachments tab.
Select the attachment that you want to download.
You can download one attachment at a time.
Click Download .

The attachment downloads to your computer.

You can remove an attachment associated with a component request.

Select the Attachments tab.
Select the attachment that you want to remove.
Click Remove on the page toolbar.

Note: An error message displays if you do not have access to remove an attachment.

Tip: To remove the attachment from the context menu, right-click the attachment or click > Remove .

The selected attachment is removed from the list.

You can open an attachment in another app, such as Document Management, directly from the Attachments tab.

From the attachment that you want to open, click

Open with >

Document Management.

The attachment opens in the Document Management app.
