SRC Request Lifecycle

The SRC Request policy governs the lifecycle of a component request. Depending on the request template used to create the component request, an approval workflow can be configured in each maturity state of the component request.

A 3DNotification is sent to the Request Assignee and the Requester when the request is promoted or closed. For more information on 3DNotification, see 3DEXPERIENCE Platform: Using Dashboards: Customizing 3DNotifications.

The SRC Request lifecycle includes these states:

This page discusses:

In Draft

A component request is created in the In Draft state.

The Leader of the component request can edit, delete, attach and remove documents, and attach and remove input items from the component request. If Require Input Items are required, the component request must contain input items in the Related Components tab before the component request can be promoted to Submitted.

Submitted

When the request is submitted, the request moves to the Submitted state. The Leader of the component request can edit and demote the component request. They can also attach and remove documents, attach and remove input items, and attach and remove answer items.

The Request Assignee must manually promote the request to Under Review to start the Under Review workflow.

The Request Assignee can reject the component request and the Requester can cancel the component request after it has been submitted.

There are no routes in the Submitted state.

A Request Assignee, who is not a member of the collaborative space, can perform the same operations that a Request Assignee, who is a member of the collaborative space, can perform.

Under Review

The Leader of the component request can edit and demote the component request. They can also attach and remove documents, attach and remove input items, and attach and remove answer items.

If an approval workflow is not defined in the Under Review state, the component request promotes directly to the Request Approval state.

If the approval workflow is configured for the Under Review state, and if the component request has an approval workflow in the Stopped state, restart the workflow. If not, the approval workflow is created and the Approval Workflow tab displays a graphical view of the component request. The component request is attached to the approval workflow.

If demoted, the approval workflow is stopped and the component request returns to the Submitted state.

Before promoting to the Request Approval state, approve all tasks in the Approval Workflow tab.

Request Approval

The Leader of the component request can edit, demote, and attach and remove documents from the component request.

If the approval workflow is configured for the Request Approval state, and if the component request has an approval workflow in the Stopped state, restart the workflow. If not, the approval workflow is created and the Approval Workflow tab displays a graphical view of the component request. The component request is attached to the approval workflow.

If demoted, the approval workflow is stopped and the component request returns to the Under Review state. The Under Review workflow restarts.

Before promoting to the Under Implementation state, approve all tasks in the Approval Workflow tab.

Under Implementation

The Leader can edit and demote a component request. They can also attach and remove documents, attach and remove input items, and attach and remove answer items.

If Answer Items are required, the component request must contain Answer Items in the Related Components tab before the component request can be promoted to the Completed state.

If the approval workflow is configured for the Under Implementation state, and if the component request has an approval workflow in the Stopped state, restart the workflow. If not, the approval workflow is created and the Approval Workflow tab displays a graphical view of the component request. The component request is attached to the approval workflow.

If demoted, the approval workflow is stopped and the component request returns to the Request Approval state. The Request Approval workflow restarts.

Before promoting to the Final Review state, approve all tasks in the Approval Workflow tab.

Final Review

The Leader can edit, demote, and attach and remove documents from the component request.

If the approval workflow is configured for the Implementation Review state, and if the component request has an approval workflow in the Stopped state, restart the workflow. If not, the approval workflow is created and the Approval Workflow tab displays a graphical view of the component request. The component request is attached to the approval workflow.

If demoted, the approval workflow is stopped and the component request returns to the Under Implementation state. The Under Implementation workflow restarts.

Before promoting to the Completed state, approve all tasks in the Approval Workflow tab.

Completed

The component request is complete and listed in the database. The Completion Status is Approved, Rejected, or Canceled. The Leader can add reference documents in the Completed state.
