Attachments

The Attachments tab lists attachments associated with the component request.

Tile View/Thumbnail View

Each Tile View and Thumbnail View includes this key information about the attachment:


Detail	Description
Attachment Image	The image of the file associated with the attachment.
Title	The user-defined title of the object.
Maturity	The current maturity state of the object.

Data Grid View

The Data Grid View provides a table view with these details:


Field	Description
Title	The user-defined title of the object.
Revision	The revision level of the object.
Maturity	The current maturity state of the object. Note: An attachment is uploaded in the In Work state.
Responsible	The owner of the object.
Description	The description of the object.
Is Specification	Is the attachment considered to be a specification? If true, the attachment is a specification. If false, the attachment is a reference document. Note: Only one document can be a specification document.
Name	The unique identifier of the object, automatically defined at creation.
Creation Date	The date and time when the object was created.
Modification Date	The date and time when the object was last modified. If not modified, this date is the same as the Creation Date.

Toolbar Actions

The toolbar includes these actions for attachments:


Action	Description	For More Information
Search	Filters the list of objects to only those that contain the characters that you enter. Enter at least 3 characters to search within the list.	Filtering Listed Items by Title
Add > Add Specification > Upload Add Existing	If you have access, you can add one new specification document or one existing specification documents to the component request. Note: All existing specification documents display, except those in the Obsolete state.	Managing Attachments
Add > Attachments > Upload Add Existing	If you have access, you can add new or existing attachments to the component request. Note: All existing attachments display, except those in the Obsolete state.	Managing Attachments
Download	Downloads an attachment in any state of the component request.	Download an Attachment
Remove	If you have access, you can remove existing attachments from each maturity state of the component request, except the Complete state.	Remove an Attachment
Tile View/ Thumbnail View/ Data Grid View	Displays the attachments in a tile, thumbnail, or a table.	Attachments
Sort	Sorts the attachments by title in ascending or descending order.	Sorting Items in a View

Information

You can select the attachment and click Information to view the attachment details in the right-side panel. For more information, see Attachment Information Panel.

Context Menu

You can click or right-click in the object and select the following context actions:


Action	Description	For More Information
Open with	Opens the selected object in another app, such as Document Management.	Open an Attachment in Another App
Download	Downloads an attachment to a component request.	Download an Attachment
Remove	If you have access, you can remove existing attachments from the component request.	Remove an Attachment
Delete	Permanently deletes the selected objects. If you have access, you can delete the attachment.	Delete an Attachment
