Setting Relationship Effectivity Dates

You can set effectivity dates to track relationships.

Before you begin:
  • The start and end dates can be empty only in the In Work maturity state, but if one date is set, the other date must be set.
  • When relationship effectivity dates are set, the end date must always be greater or equal to the start date.
  1. To set the relationship effectivity dates, do one of the following:

  2. Depending on the maturity state of the relationship, you can select the effectivity start and end dates.

    Important: The relationship is activated once the end date is selected.

    Maturity State User Input Description
    In Work Any value Effectivity start and end dates are not required, but if the start date is set, the end date must also be set.
    Active Past start date Select one of the following options:
    • Select Confirm to set the start date to the current date. The opens to select the end date.
    • Select Ignore to save the entered start and end dates or keep as is.
    Past end date
    Future start date Select one of the following options:
    • Select Confirm to set the start date to the current date.
    • Select Ignore to save the entered start and end dates or keep as is.
    Future end date
    Empty start date The start date is set to the current date. The opens to select the end date.
    Empty end date
    Obsolete Past or current start date Select one of the following options:
    • Select Confirm to set the end date to the current date. The relationship is promoted to Obsolete.
    • Select Ignore to save the entered end date or enter a new past or current end date.
    Past end date
    Past or current start date Select one of the following options:
    • Select Confirm to set the end date to the current date. The relationship is promoted to Obsolete.
    • Select Ignore and the opens to select the end date.
    Future end date
    Future start date Select one the following options:
    • Select Confirm to set the start and end date to the current date. The relationship is promoted to Obsolete.
    • Select Ignore and the opens to select the end date.
