About Qualifications

Qualifications hold the result of an assessment of a manufacturer equivalent item that can be revised and have a target. A qualification can have context and/or a prerequisite on another qualification.

The following types of qualifications are described:

  • Equivalent Qualification - Qualifies that two independent objects as equivalent of each other. For example, a manufacturer equivalent item can be identified as an equivalent of an engineering item. The qualification is done on the association.
  • General Qualification - A qualification of an object irrespective of where the object is. A general qualification can be related to compliance, performance, validation, procurement, or sourcing.
  • Context Qualification - The approval for the equivalent qualification in the context of a model version, plant, or project.
