Duplicating Portfolio Versions or Sellable Items

You can duplicate portfolio versions and sellable items. You can select whether you want to include structural objects (the items) in the duplicated portfolio version or sellable item. You can select whether you want the duplicated portfolio version or sellable item to inherit the access defined for the original object.

Before you begin: Open the portfolio version or sellable item that you want to duplicate.
  1. In the portfolio version's identity card, click Menu > Duplicate.
  2. In the Duplicate dialog box, specify the following information about how you want to duplicate the portfolio version or sellable item:

    Field Description
    Title Enter a title for the new target item.
    Note: If you do not specify a new title, -Copy is automatically appended to the name of the source item as the title for the new target item.
    Include Structural Objects Select this check box if you want to copy the items in the source item's Items tab to the new target item.
    Duplicate Access Select this check box if you want to copy responsibilites and permissions assigned for the source item to the new target item.
    Advanced Duplicate Select this switch if you want to specify how copied items are created in the new target item.
    For each item in the source item, from the list in the Action column, select how to treat it in the new target item:

    Option Description
    Duplicate Creates a copy of the source item to include in the new target item.
    Reuse Reuses the source item in the new target item.
    Exclude Excludes the source item from the new target item.

    Enter a title for the new target item.
    Note: If you do not specify a new title, -Copy is automatically appended to the name of the source item as the title for the new target item.

  3. Click Duplicate.

The new duplicate item opens.
