About Corporate Legal Policy Setup

This section allows you to implement your corporate Terms of Use and Privacy Policy Statements.

You can upload pdf, .doc or .docx files. The platform members will be asked to read and approve those documents the first time they log-in. If you do not need to implement such a type of document, members will log in freely. You can also add a document containing other legal information, but the member will not be prompted to read it. The platform members can access these documents at any time in the footer if you have selected the Display Legal Notice & Cookies Warning in footer check box. The Terms of Use and Data Privacy Statement are also available through the Help > About 3DEXPERIENCE Platform command of the top bar. The member will be asked to approve the Terms of Use and Data Privacy Statement that you must enter in at least one of the available languages.

Lets you access the following:

  • Legal Notice
    • Default Language: Select the language that will be used to display the legal notice message. If the message is not provided in the user's default language, the language selected in this field will be used instead.
    • Message: Select a different message for the available languages. You can enter a four hundred characters limited message for each language. You can leave this field blank except for the default language.
    • Terms of Use, Privacy Policy Statement and Legal Information: If you upload the Terms of Use and/or Privacy Policy documents, a Legal Notice pop-up displays those documents the first time the user logs in. He must accept the legal notice terms to access the platform. Click Browse to select and upload the given documents. Click Save to make them available.
      Note: If you upload the Legal Information document only, the Legal Notice pop-up does not appear when the member logs-in.
      Note: If the content of any of the documents must be updated later on, you can easily view or remove them. Click View or Remove to either display or remove any of the files. If you upload a new document, the members will be asked to read and validate the new Legal Notice terms again.
  • Cookie Warning:
    • Notify users about cookie usage: When selected, a message, which you must provide, will be displayed in a banner at the bottom of the browser pages to the members when they connect to the platform.

      By default, this option is cleared.

    • Default Language: Select the language that will be used to display the cookies message. If the message is not provided in the user's default language, the language selected in this field will be used instead.
    • Message: Select a different message for the available languages. You can enter a four hundred characters limited message for each language. You can leave this field blank except for the default language. If you edit the text, the cookie warning will be displayed again to the members of the platform.
    • Period of Validity: Once the member dismisses the cookie warning, the message will not be displayed during a period of time, unless you update it. Set a reminder in months ranging from one to twelve.
  • Cookie Document: Optional. Click Browse to select and upload the document containing the explanations about your cookies policy.

    A banner is displayed the first time the member logs in and till the member closes it by clicking the cross on the right.

    If a document is provided, the member can open it by clicking the i icon on the left.

    The member can review the document at any time in the footer, if you have selected the Display Legal Notice & Cookies Warning in footer check box and also through the Help > About 3DEXPERIENCE Platform command of the top bar. If no document is provided, clicking the cookies links simply displays the banner again.

  • Footer: Display Legal Notice & Cookies Warning in footer: When selected, it displays a footer containing links to the platform Legal Information, About 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookies information.

    By default, this option is cleared.

    Note: The footer is not displayed if the tab layout is in fit mode. If you are the owner of the dashboard, switch to scroll mode in the tab Menu to display it.
