Viewing Roles Details

The Roles section of the Members Control Center widget gives you access to the details of a role. It lets you discover who is using it within a platform and how many can still be granted. You can also grant roles directly from the dialog box that appears when you click a role.

Important:
  • Casual roles or options can only be granted to casual members.
  • Granted optional roles are not visible in the Compass.

  1. In the Roles section, click Details on the role.
    A dialog box displays:
    • In the Members tab:
      • A chart that displays the percentage of the role already used.
      • A Search user field that allows you to search and grant the current role to any user.
      • By default, if the role has not been granted yet, it displays the list of available users. If the role has already been granted, it displays the list of users that have already been granted the current role.

        Note: If a member has already been granted a role through a group, a Granted through group icon appears in front of the member. If a role has been granted through a group, it cannot be ungranted even if the role has not been used yet by the member

    • In the Groups tab:
      Note: This tab is not available in the Collaborative Business Innovator role.
      • If the role has not been granted yet, it displays the list of available user groups.
      • If the role has already been granted, it displays the list of user groups that have already been granted the current role.
      Note: Each group name displays its number of members in front of it. If the role has already been granted, the number of members that have actually been granted the current role is displayed.
      • A Search group field that allows you to search and grant the current role to any group.
      • If the group already contains at least a member, click Expand to expand the list of members of any of the user groups.
        • If the list of members has been updated since you expanded the list, you may need to click Refresh to update the list of members.
      • Click Collapse to collapse the list of members.
    • In the Apps tab, the list of apps available with the selected role.
    • In the About tab, a description of the app benefits.
      On premises only: The description is only available for custom roles.
  2. Click Close to close the dialog box.
