User Groups

User Groups is a dashboard app available in the Social and Collaborative Apps quadrant of the Compass. It lets you manage a centralized list of groups that can be used by any user-group compatible app available in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

User Groups provides the following key capabilities:

  • List the user groups you can use. By default, only the groups you own are displayed. To see the complete list, select Show all Groups in the left pane.
  • Create user groups that can be used by any member of the platform in their apps and edit these groups.
  • If you are a platform administrator:
    • update user groups owned by others.
    • create and update user groups through a file import.

You can search for a user group using 3DSearch and refine your search results with the 6WTags. For example, you can refine your search using implicit tags such as type, members or responsible. However adding explicit tags is not possible.
