Requesting a Role

You can request roles that you do not have yet.

  1. Click the Compass, and select Company.

    Note: If this section is hidden and you need to request a role, contact your administrator.

    If you have access to several platforms, and want to check whether you can request a role in another platform, click Preferences > Platform Selection, and select either of the following:

    Note: When working in a native-app environment, you can only request a role from your current platform. Platform selection is only available when accessing your 3DEXPERIENCE platform using a browser.

    • All Platforms. Lets you select another platform from the app's context menu . You can set a different platform for each of your apps.
    • Select Platform At App Launch. Forces the platform selection when you launch an app or drag a dashboard app to a dashboard.

  2. Click the role you want to request.

    You can also find roles using . Enter a predefined query; for example role:ifw or a role name; for example Collaborative Business Innovator.

    Tip: To display a description of a role, on the top-right of the role details section, click Information.

  3. On the upper right of the role details section, click Request.

    Note: If you are a member of several platforms, you have to select a platform first.

Your role request is sent to the administrator, and is displayed as . Once the administrator has validated your request, the requested role appears in the Me section.
