Community Visibility
A community's visibility is set by the community's Administrator. The visibility level influences the way that you can interact with communities.
Community Visibility | Description |
---|---|
Public | Any member of a 3DEXPERIENCE platform can view and comment on any type of content in a public community. |
Private | Only the members of a private community can view its content. Private
communities are identified by a lock before the name of the community. You can ask to become a member of a private community using a simple form. The Owner of the community accepts or rejects your request. Even if you are not yet a member, you can see the community's name and a short description. |
Secret | A secret community is not visible to anyone who is not a member. The Owner of the community invites members. You can use secret communities to discuss confidential or restricted topics. This is the default visibility when creating a community. |
