Organizing and Sharing Information with Dashboards

Dashboards let you gather and reuse content from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, the web, and your company in a simple and unified view. They allow you to organize and present your content, and share experiences with others.

If you are the Owner of the dashboard, you can add, update, and remove widgets, and organize them into tabs using an intuitive customizable layout.

You can share a dashboard that you own in different ways:

  • Share a copy that can be customized by another user.
  • Invite other 3DEXPERIENCE platform members to your dashboard as a Reader or Owner.
Important: Grant the Owner responsibility to give 3DEXPERIENCE platform members that you invite the same responsibilities as you have to modify the dashboard. Grant the Reader responsibility if you want to be the only one who can modify your dashboard.

If a dashboard owner adds you as a Reader to a dashboard, you cannot change anything on it, including widget preferences.

My First Dashboard is your default dashboard. Your licensed roles might also allow you to access another dashboard associated with an app. If you cannot modify a dashboard, you can duplicate it to create a copy where you have the Owner responsibility. You can then customize the new dashboard so that it fits your day-to-day working needs. Your changes are not reflected in the original dashboard.
