Living Heart Model

Project leaders can import a set of files to take full advantage of the Living Heart Model. You can gain access to this content and import it into the app if you have the appropriate role.

The Living Heart Model is available for use in the Mechanical Scenario Creation app only.

Living Heart Model Content

The table below presents the content you can import to take full advantage of the Living Heart Model.

File Name Description
<release_number>_Living_Heart_Simulation_Object.3dxml 3D XML file containing a physics simulation object.
01_3DX_Living_Heart_Simulation_Experience.3dxml (on premises) or 3DX_Living_Heart_Simulation_Cloud_Experience_Type_01.3dxml (on the cloud) Runs the electrical and mechanical simulation sequentially for the four-chambered heart model. The results of the electrical model are used to drive the mechanical model. You use this simulation process to run the default, unmodified heart model.
02_3DX_Living_Heart_Simulation_Experience.3dxml (on premises) or 3DX_Living_Heart_Simulation_Cloud_Experience_Type_02.3dxml (on the cloud) Runs a mechanical simulation based on a pre-existing set of results from the electrical model. You use this simulation process when you have made no changes to the default, unmodified electrical model, but you have modified the mechanical model.
03_3DX_Living_Heart_Simulation_Experience.3dxml (on premises) or 3DX_Living_Heart_Simulation_Cloud_Experience_Type_03.3dxml (on the cloud) Runs a mechanical simulation when you have modified any mechanical properties of any portion of the model, including the properties related to the blood flow model. You should also run this simulation process if you have modified any of the loads, boundary conditions, or constraints in the Pre-Load step.
04_3DX_Living_Heart_Simulation_Experience.3dxml (on premises) or 3DX_Living_Heart_Simulation_Cloud_Experience_Type_04.3dxml (on the cloud) Runs a mechanical simulation when you have modified any mechanical properties of any portion of the model, including the properties related to the blood flow model, and you have remeshed any portion of the model. Remesh the electrical model before executing this simulation process. The process remaps the fiber orientations in both models, reruns the electrical simulation, and uses the new set of results from the electrical model to drive the mechanical simulation.
05_3DX_Living_Heart_Simulation_Experience.3dxml (on premises) or 3DX_Living_Heart_Simulation_Cloud_Experience_Type_05.3dxml (on cloud) Runs only the electrical simulation. You use this simulation process after modifying the electrical model.
